Essentially Crem, it was a general consensus that 11 votes for a joke map was in excess. One or two I would be fine with and ignore the whingers, but when it reached 3rd place people had had enough, and I agreed.

It was funny, but at the end of the day map battles are about supporting good mappers, and giving kudos to the best design. Just because Vic has been a long standing member with plenty of mates on here does not give him the right to get a majority of votes over mappers who put significant effort in, and therefore totally imbalance the competition.

Therefore, I decided to remove his entry. A pity, but a joke too far and totally unneccessary. Zip is completely correct.

The argument is entirely void in any case; what's done is done and can we please discuss the battle in hand, thanks?

If you've still got an issue, 904 has already clarified; untextured and fullbright - I hate to dredge up rules, but shit happens. All very fun this, on my first bloody battle. Cheers guys, at least some people have said thanks.

Voted for Mao because I think his map has the most lil-details that you can look and admire at, it's not a Single-Look-Wow-Map and then instantly vote for it map, like I see most of the time, you actualy see that he paid attention to make his map detailed in the right way and that he did the trouble to add a good atmosphere with the shadows, texturing detail is very good, brush work is clean.

Yes I'm back for serials my shouting engineer avatar friend.

In fact I'm trying to learn C++. Very interested in the programming side of things nowadays.

Also improving my modelling skills more and more, but I have to refresh my mapping skills a bit :x

Tic's got my vote, the scene reminds me a little bit of Bio Shock (1). Though I have to say, it was a tough call.
