Anyone know where I can download the maps featured in these competitions? I couldn't find them in the completed map section.

Would creating the map at a x2 scale be allowed? This would definately make the map unplayable ... but would allow more detailed brush work to be done (since brush units can only go to 4 units large ...)

wouldn't that get really confusing after a while?

Im sorry ... forgive me let me rephrase ...

The four units large thing was a guess from work .

The smallest square you can make is 1x1 units large in Hammer, yes?

I was just curious if it would be okay to build at a larger scale ... so that 1x1 actually appears smaller and will allow more detailed brush work

But if not thats fine too ... was just curious ;

Also model size, if you plan on using any of the defaults.

Can we set in stone what we can and cannot do with templates?
Some orignal designs in the last battle (ramp) were shot down, because they weren't skate ramps.
I think that's really silly, if the competition is to take the template and make something out of it, why wasn't simply flipping it upside down acceptable?

I think, in the case of the last competition at least, the name said it all. Map Battle 4 - The Ramp. Flip a ramp upside down and it becomes a flat surface... :\ But in a way i agree with you, i think that was just a template that was a bit too open to suggestion, whereas a pyramid, or a bridge, are definate descriptions of what must be in the map and what must be done with the template.
