Please could this be moved to the design section. I'd appreciate access to create topics in that forum too if I am to continue doing these.

I included links to your posts so you can see where I got the images from. We had a few submissions, as well as quite a few WIPs that weren't completed. However it's a good start to the revival of the mapping competitions - hopefully if the SDKs are updated soon it'll provided some much needed rejuventation.

No. It's entirely done within Hammer and Source. He even posted a document detailing the entire design process behind it.


PS: I chose Arcadium's scene.

I went with jimonions as it stuck out the most. I feel though I might of chosen wrongfully due to Vastness the test of this battle and that jimonions map didn't feel that way. If you added a little more to that black background it really could of made it pop... None the less it was the cooler looking one

I totally liked Jiminions' stunning looks on his map, but I also didn't feel like it had that "vastness" feel to it. So, I went ahead and voted Arcadium's piece.

I also thought it didn't really come out as vast as I wanted it to :p
I had other ideas lined up but too late to try out.
All in all it was still a great learning experience, props to Arcadium & iamhoops for properly filling the theme.
