There were alot of really great entries, and I really enjoyed so many of them.
I chose dux, simply because I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, but Steve's was also incredibly well done and struck me as a pretty realistic location. I also really liked cur-sed's idea as well as shownomercy's. But almost every one was great, so hats off to all of you.

Damnit steve is winning. Dux clearly made a better map but because Steve has his map loaded with props it's winning.

Thats all half life two is shitty brush work with a load of props to cover it up, play through hl2 again and really look at the maps.

Steve has taken the house and planted it in a natural realistic environtment. He has given the house character. Not to say dux hasnt but i just find steves more asthetically appealing.

Now stop bitching and moaning at people you have cast your vote and made your opinion heard, stop trying to force it on other people your acting like a christian.

Anywho the quality of all of the shots was fantastic it was hard to make a choice. You should all be really proud! Im excited to see what the next battle crops up.

Hey guys, wazzzzup!!

Sry I havnt been around. Me and my lady took a lil vacation down to the beach these last few days to get away from dallas for a while and get our relax on. I cant believe all this stuff going on while I was gone. All the screens are awesome. I have to say that IMO, its a toss up between reekes (awesome and inspiring, beautiful use of color and lighting), dux (creepy and atmospheric) and genraldissaray (cool idea, good looks and theme) but every screen looks killer. I am so glad to see that mappers have raised the quality of their work and detail from back in the old days (Q2 and HL1). Everyone here deserves a huge "Good Job". They all look great. Thank you all very much for your votes and your help. And thanks to interlopers for the chance to do it, it was a blast and I hope the next challenge is coming soon.

PS... Thats not all props , the garage is brush work, the well, the tree house, the front porch, the mountain, all the diplacements, the bridges, the fireplace, etc. And as for DLing it, I am working on the playable version now, with less props and detail so as not to lag. I'll post it when its done.

I take this chance to inform everyone about the rating system of the batles. The top 3 will be decided in this poll. The first place gets 10 points, the second place gets 9, and third gets 8 by default. The rest of the maps will be given a score from 0,0 to 7,5(in a 0,5 scale) acording to their quality. This score will be added to your previous score, and will be kept in a ranking(wich will be created on wendsday), so the more you participate the more chances you will have to get a nice position on the ranking.

I hope to see even more submitions on the next batle, since this one ended up really well, and dont forget that the poll only closes on wendesday so keep voting everyone
