i dont get it why shadow got the most votes. its not that good... i like the city river even more and that guy got only 1 vote... same as grim reaper. thats not fair

well, i voted for acx because:

Everyone deserves a pat on the back for their great work. Shadow's map IMO was the most appealing and eye catching. Really captured the covered bridge mood I thought. Very original looking.

Not to say the others are not worthy just not as worthy as Shadows IMO.

The bridge and lighting and background in Shadow's looks great. I based my vote soley upon those things. Great thing about polls is that the majority of opinions decides the winner. Opinions being the key word.

its not between shadow and avtraz...they are good but acx has the best bridge!!! he has to win.

Even though I admire the brushwork he put into the bridge itself the lighting and the general blockyness due to it being of brushes just made it quite fugly.

So it fails on everything but architecture, for me.

A bridge is a bridge, and that can only reflect its environment. You could build a pretty bridge, but when you have 2 black boxes as the world surrounding that... it ruins the entire concept.

A bridge connects two worlds together, which was basically my idea behind this. Remove the landscape and the "fat" tower, and all you have left is a bridge. No matter how good or bad it is, it's just "a bridge".

That's just my opinion on it though.

I really liked yours man, but also I'd say that it's not about making the surrounding which makes the bridge "a bridge". Surrounding areas are nice to have and generally should be as quality work as you put into yours but in the end you have to have the best looking bridge.

Until they change it to the best looking bridge scene.
