nice job, but there is still a map missing wich is aim_neighborhod, i'm the only one who has that map, but i'll try to get on irc and send it to you(?). Also you placed a zip(with all the bsps) inside the pack, wich is encreasing the file size. But good job, thanks m8 :)

It is a shame it never got going. I'd like to see us try again sometime but I question if we can be organised enough.

It is of course BKs call.

I didn't know there was a map pack going, if I knew about it I might of made a map. I don't normally make fy/aim maps.

I think i still have the pack somewhere. I remember at the time i had some troubles up uploading it, and some one else did it.

EDIT: Just read the entire thread, and now i remember what happened. Just need to see if i still have the maps and rehost them.
What about instead of doing another fy battle do a old school contest with maps for HL1: DM. They are doing the same thing at mapcore and its a brilliant ideia. HL1 mapping was really fun :D

I have to call bullshit on that. Worldcraft is a piece of shit, brushes do weird thing when rotating or stick to the grid after saving and reopening. Plus everyone who is not setup for it would have to get an updated fgd, compiler tools, textures, texture tools, etc. Stick to source since everyone here is ready to go.

Really? cause i've more problems with hammer 4 then 3.5, also i've a pack on my host with all the crap you need (http://www.bekay-design.com/Tools.rar) and a tutorial on cs-maps.org explaining how to setup hammer, which isnt that hard. And we could restrict it to HL.wad, so hm.. your argument is not valid ;P

Must be the differences in PC's I guess, 4 is a god send for me compared to 3.5. Any brush other than a block would mangled more often than not, entities not working like they should, etc.

I think Hammer 4.0 is better, and easier than it's previous versions. That's why I dread going back to 3.4 to release/fix my TFC maps...

The entities not working is a fdg problem, not hammer. And i never really had any problems with creating brushes, in fact i usually use a really complex brush work in my maps, ever since hammer 3.5, and i don't see any diference (besides the obvious new features in hammer 4).
But with hammer 3.5 i can map much faster, moving brushes etc is much faster then in hammer 4.
