nice, looks good...not too sure about that rock on the left, looks abit odd stickin' out the wall...also, bit of a texture-repetition problem in that same area, dunno how much you can do about that. Nice texture, nice displaceent work though, good job so far!!

Thx, texture-repation is rght now my biggest proplem. Thats why I have some prop rocks around there. You can see only that one popping from wall :D
I might also add rain coming trought from hole up there. (You can't see it well from pic.)

Try using a blend texture for your rock. I find it helps to break up the monotony of repeating textures.

Well, I'm done with this 'ere entry, got other stuff to do, map-wise.
Anyway, I've gone terribly off-theme here, got a little too carried away with the waterfall and ended up with too little actual cave in there... oh well.

I've gotta say, I'm loving the militia trees, they really helped.

fortunately this thing ain't of the same scope as my last map-battle entry, so compiles were a little easier :D

Image
First pic here is looking down at an angle such that the cave isn't totally obscured by the mist floating around at the bottom of the waterfall (just to prove that there really is a cave in the map :P )

Image
Image
A couple of shots from in the trees there, but they kinda give away the small scale of the map, especially the 2nd one, where you can quite plainly see the edge of the cliff to the right of the pic.

Image
There's a deepish pool in the stream above the waterfall, and I was getting some pretty cool reflections in there, just wanted to show them off.

Alright, here are my three entry pics, entitled New England Falls

Image
I figured I -had- to include 1 shot from inside the cave, even if it looks a little bland with all that mist.

Image
I love the artistic stylee shots with some pretty leaves in the foreground, plus you can see the sunset effect I've got going from here, plus the bankside reeds. :)

Image
This is my favourite shot, it gives a nice impression of the surroundings while framing the waterfall itself quite nicely.

Anyway, there's my submission, look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

But the lights look out of place. Either remove them or create wooden shafts with wires to look as if the lights are getting power from somewhere

Yes. I will make ropes to connect them eachothers and things like that.

I think that cave would benefit a great deal from either a nature texture with an alpha (unless the one you're using already has one) so it can break up the repition. Or increase the scale slightly so it doesn't repeat so frequently.

My cave was too big for 3 pics... But here is 3 best pics.
You see about 75% cave, rest of the cave is made with same quality.
