R&L Update

Postby mastersmith98 on Thu Oct 25, 2007 2:26 am

The guys over at Resistance and Liberation, have just released another news update.

Since the last time we updated about the mods progress, there has been a lot of rethinking on many levels. Mostly this has to do with the feedback we've received from our testers. This forced us into rethink about the directions we were taking on how far to take realism. So with that, we are implementing changes to the map the NCO uses in game. The map is used for several things, and the changes that are being made have made the use and understanding of what you are looking at more logical.

Also, Ste. Marie Du Mont, the map we will be releasing with the first release candidate has been changed slightly as well. Again, this is also from tester feedback. So a lot of thanks has to go out to our loyal testers who have been playing our mod every week.

Another part of the rethinking process was how much of the overall dream of RnL would be in our first release to the public. To be quite honest, with the very small team we have, and the lack of finding help in key areas of development, we've come to the conclusion that we will not be able to add in everything we want to achieve in the beginning. However with all the features we have in now, and the overwhelming amount of content, we believe what has been achieved so far will be well satisfying.

As we sit now, all we are waiting on are player animations to be finished and a few new changes to help gameplay to be completed. On this note, we are in desperate need of Animators, so please apply in our team section. Then we will have a beta to send to the testers to beat on to try to break. Once that's accomplished we will release it. It's not far off, and it only depends on how long it takes for the team to finish the last bit of content. So as always, thanks for waiting with us all this time and rest assured we are not far off from getting what we have done out to you all. So with that here are a few new shots of Ste. Marie Du Mont.

Be sure to check our site often since we will have another update in the next weeks approaching.

Hopefully the mod will be out soon :D
