This game is like Albert Hoffman's bike ride; Quake 3 on Acid. High speed adrenaline gameplay with psychedellic maps literally raining drugs. The gameplay revolves the use of drugs to maintain your health and have hippy advantages over other raver's.

Half-Life 2 Rave is an impulse rewarding game.

In this essence, the game randomly spawns vital combat pickups around the map as your running around - these pickups can be anywhere at anytime and are in plentiful raindrops (depending on the rarity of the pickup).

The game is fast-paced but not so fast paced you can't keep up, it encourages the use of speed by allowing a button to toggle a normal 'walk' speed and by default you run fast enough to dodge any incoming bullets (hopefully).

The game is full of bright colours of a wide spectrum, visual effects and simulated drug experiences to enhance the 'mood' of the game play.

The game is styled using a psychedelic edge, maps look 'innovated'.

The game has a lot more debth to it than what first meets the eye; really you have to play a good 20 mins of it to actually discover a lot of the neat gameplay mechanics.

But it's a new edge to Deathmatch gaming - if that's what your looking for! Something you havent played before. ;)
