Feeeeedback Time

Time for everyone to check in and let us know what the site needs more of, does well at or lacks completely.

I reckon more tutorials may be in there, so let's hear it.

Cheers

I'm working on a tut at the moment. I can't think of anything that Interlopers needs to be honest.

Seriously as it as at the mo i'm happy with things. I'm thinking about some sort of modelling style contest like the map battles. On a smaller scale wouldn't need it's own forum but this is the kind of think i think we could organise our selves.

Lower the quality of the header image!

You're wasting so much bandwidth.

Just link it to that url if you want. Just make it smaller!

I can't tell it apart from each other, that's a good thing.

Actaully I'm quite satisfactory with things as I've always been. News is always updated on time, and almost everything has a lengthy and helpful tutorial written about it.

-I'd like to see the return of those friday articles, those were quite interesting (espicially that Turtle Rock interview. :D)

-Maybe more reviews of newly released mods as well as all those games Valve has been releasing over Steam.

-Perhaps you could have a section in the downloads page with an archive of map spotlights, or just maps that the community really recommends.

-Maybe have a Map Battle with some sort of prize give away!

Anyways those are just some suggestions that came to mind within the last couple minutes, the site is pretty much perfect how it is.

-More modbits like on HLF
-Member of the month awards (most contributive and most annoying)
-Forum points (eg buy yourself a custom user title when you earn x points after posting x amount of times. But make it like, forum points only start to apply to people with 800+ posts)

Interlopers is the greatest without question. But I agree that the competitions should be spread to the other parts of the forum such as modeling and maybe even texturing.

Other than that, the tutorials could do with an overhaul (now that I finally have some free time expect some advanced ones from me).

Generally speaking this place is a mappers heaven, keep up the good work!

Edit:
In the long run I would like to see interlopers involve other mapping communities since it presently caters for the Source croud. This community is so fun to be part of that it would be great to bring in the unreal croud aswell (especially as some of us use both engines).

Create forum buttons in the same style as the new lopers theme.
