I think we need some questions too, maybe some community questions for the participants or just questions for the persons for whatever reason, I dunno, Questions!

Well make up some pretend ones. PM me them. We'll treat them as real questions which will also allow us to practise our helpfulness.

Just for the TestCast mind you.

I'm a little nervous about podcasts because most of them are such atrocious wastes of time. It's not just that they're generally poorly produced (though they are), it's that most people aren't right for radio. They let big 'ol silences hang and they're just generally unsure of themselves. Plus, good voices=better podcasts.

I'm also a little curious how much one could talk about things revolving around the site. It's a great site with lots of activity, but what will be talked about? I'm just mildly terrified that it will turn into an audio version of the tutorials which already do a damn good job themselves.

Perhaps it will turn out alright though, I hope that people have enough smart and interesting things to say.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.

Yeah well you can talk about how you always go to the gym, get all the girls and still be intelligent enough to know Koyaanisqatsi :P

I haven't forgotten that Jason...

Well it wouldn't primary be about this website. It would be a modding/game development podcast just for this site. At least, thats the idea. There maybe some things here and there to say about the website, for example Design Comps.

Perhaps you could talk about recently released maps or mods, or maybe mods or maps that are in development, giving your opinion on it and such and whats good about it, and whats bad about it etc.

That i would listen to.

Ofcourse, thats what the forums are also for :D

I think if we got going we could do audio interviews with modders such as Flayra from Natural Worlds or whoever is behind Black Mesa.

I think audio is so much more interesting then text and therefore, if its done to a decent standard will be very appealing to the tech savvy.

Don't worry, crappy music isnt an option. We cant use popular music anyway, my fathers got a huge library of podcast-friendly music which we may use.

I think Sorrow has a man-crush on me...

I would love to hear more stuff specifically relating to level design in other games that people are playing. How does the level design in Crackdown, for instance, work for better and for worse? I think a lot of level design work here is geared strictly for HL2 maps in the SP arena and for CS/DOD in the multiplayer arena. I would love for the podcast to be more, and not related only to mod-talk. Emphasizing mod work would be GREAT, but I think that level design in general would be a wonderful focus. For example, I'm about to play through The Longest Journey games, and I'm interested how the supposedly brilliant story works with level design. What it adds/subtracts to/from the equation.

Random thoughts, I'm full of 'em.

I'm a british, 14 year old mapper, and I would probably talk about why one should become involved with source developing, what it can offer etc. I'd do some research of course

lol sorry. Sounds good. If it alternates between people who cast you could post a programme of slot's topics, so 'lopers can see what's going to be covered in the schedule.
