stock photos

Collectively we've listed and posted hundereds of stock photos, but no real way of organization.

How simple would it be to add say a page to the tutorials and then have say specific texture reference shots like Brick or Wood or Metal and then perhaps a scenes reference shots page with either landscape or buidlings/structures.

Hell if somebody gave boots to a way to upload photos to the site I'd giver balls and shoot as many as I could just for yew guys!

I really think it's an excellent idea or atleast a start of one, orginization is key and if screwing around on google or here to find the shots you'd like to reference from was easier I'm sure we'd see some neater content then some of the bland junk running around these days.

I think the only problem we may encounter would be copywritten images with rights owned by other sites.

But still, we have lots of photos that could be orginized better then the system that is now.

hey man I'm just a passer by, I don't live here.. But I suppose even guests can clean up after themselves, I expect it of mine.

I suppose I could work it up myself but it wouldnt be at interlopers.

I'd just like to see a link somewhere in the main pages that takes you directly to a nicely orginized site or place on the net with all of our lovely photos.

I know for a fact now that it would be extremely helpful to those in a rut.

Just use Google image search, it will always give you better results if you are looking for something specific. And since Google crawls for images, it will always be better maintained than anything we could do.

I also strongly doubt that the quality of maps these days is to blame on the lack of said feature, which you implied.

I feel it is, well sort of. Sometimes I and other must just find it hard to think up any neat shapes or the like. It would bennifit me personally and if you knew what I ment by the finnished result then you'd probably understand a bit better. But I suppose this idea is only going to take flight if I give it a shot first :)

Sorry!

I had a similar, well, same idea :)

So you can guess my opinion!

I think it would be good if only to make interlopers a more comprehensive desgin resource. Your one stop shop for anything and everything you'd want to know about design and mapping. I think it would grow pretty quickly too.
