A few suggestions; like a search bar

There should be a search bar for the forums. It would make it a lot easier to find the right forum for you! (obviously) And if this site actually makes any money (advertising) then there should be more link to here on other sites, you should pay people like $30 to make a video tutorial (there'd be a lot more that way and 1 video tutorial would entice a lot of people by itself to register), you have to spend money to make money, and if this site ever got popular enough (which it could if you bought out all the other HL2 mod sites) you be making fat loads of cash through advertisments.

Much odd has occurred here... without loads of other sites around it would suck the fun out the whole hl2 modding/mapping thing. This site is about opinions, constructive criticism and sharing a hobby, it does a good job but without all the other sites around it couldn't represent or facilitate the wider modding community.

This site does make money but that's to pay for the upkeep, as if I would charge people to use the tutorials, I didn't even write most of them.

First off, I was kidding. I know that search bar wasn't put there because I asked for it.

Secondly, I wan't suggesting you charge people to use the tutorials! That would kill this website instantly. I was suggesting you pay people to make tutorials. It wouldn't even have to be much, most of us are probably strapped for cash, scrounging up the few nickels under our beds and trying to upgrade our computers. Even a little bit of money is a lot of incentive to make a video tutorial, or a written one. And people would trust that they'd get their money too, since the site's owned by Brits.

I never said the word "business", but yes it would become a credible website (it already is), if it bought out the other ones, it's not like some evil company takeover I'm talking about here, I was thinking you just pay whoever owns the Snarkpit server to the editlife server, to change their name and allow themselves to be enveloped by interlopers. No one would lose their jobs (I think), no data would be lost, everything would come together in perfect harmony. And you seem not to realize that advertising revenue is what keeps most corporate entities afloat.

And basically all TV channels are funded via advertising.

Well, ok. Not most companies, but most internet sites, which is what we were talking about, make most, if not all of their money from advertising. And donations, can't forget those.
