Help Interlopers. Post News.

I'm finding it tough to keep up with the news at the moment, so the front page is always a few days out of date.

I'd really like it if one or two members of the community could volunteer to spend a little bit of time helping me out. If you've been here long enough you will remember similar requests a long while back and the reason I have kept doing it myself for so long is because every single person who offers to help tends to do it for a couple of weeks and then vanishes.

Hopefully I can find a couple of more dependable minions

Before you say yes I'll give you a quick list of what is involved, it's not difficult but if you're someone who is often very busy then it's probably not for you.

• Checking Submit News forum and news feeds for interesting updates (I use feedreader to collate it all into place).
• Posting news in a format already established (I'll give you a couple of examples)
• Bit of knowledge with bbcode to post images and quotes etc
• Able to re-size and upload images to an FTP. You'll get your own login and Firefox has a free FTP program.
• Good spelling and grammar
• Having a spare 10-15 mins max (Usually less, depends how busy the news is)

I tend to stick to mod and Valve game updates, so Steam client updates and other developer news that some sites post are something I see as irrelevant.

I'll still be posting news too, just an extra pair of hands or two will really help out the site. But I'm hoping to find someone who'd like to carry it on for a while. It's not a contract, but disappearing off the face of the earth is not preferable

Ask questions, or just let me know if you're up for it and I'll pick out of the 'applicants' (if there are any!)

I'd love to help out if possible, I've generally got a bit of spare time. I don't have much knowledge of bbcode, however, so I don't know if that would count me out. If it isn't too much of a problem, I'd be very happy to help out.

It's nothing that wouldn't take 2 minutes to pickup, it just involves linking smaller images to bigger ones really. I've got plenty of samples.
