since games do have sounds and soundtracks... and source supports them :) ... why not?
do feel that this is somewhat left behind in all the mod talking and even worse modding itself for time to time.
so pwitty pwease... can we have one? :P

I think that's an awesome idea. But it shouldn't be music-only section. General sound stuff like program discussion, sharing methods to produce best quality, tips and tricks, etc.

I still haven't found a way to sound like the metrocops. As far as I remember, there was actually a file somewhere in the GCFs that showed what Valve did to the voices to achieve that effect, but no one figured how to make it work.

You're looking for Speaker Mr. V. In fact, if you listen to the trainstation sample I think you might even recognize the effect....

vcool, the files in the GCFs were batch files to run through Sony Soundforge. You can use that way if you wish. In Raising the Bar, there was mention of the sound engineer mic'ing up a walkie and recording the vocals through that, then applying the batch-files. However I've used just the batch-files and have produced acceptable results.

As for a music section, I'm all for it, if there's a way to freely host music where it can't be ripped?
