Yes, unless they work in some feature to only pick matches isolated by whitespaces, line breaks, and some specific other characters probably including period, comma, colon, semicolon, hyphen, and apostrophe. Perhaps the system should have a built-in feature for handling plural form, or people will just have to write func_detail's with an apostrophe. Is that the right way to do it in English, by the way? Apparently, you don't use apostrophes for plural abbreviations in English (CDs rather than CD's) as opposed to Danish.

atm yes, tho its easy to search and replace [space]func_entity[space] instead. Though that would be problematic for entities right after or before enters and dots and comma's.

still who cares if it becomes gmfunc_detailedmap?

I have read this thread. I like the idea for the VDC tag and the text highlighting for different entities is cool, but as pointed out, it could be quite annoying when it did it to words that weren't intended.

I was thinking about maybe limiting it to the help forum only or something, as people are most likely to find it of benefit there.

I'm away this week but I'll ponder it further when I return.

Something like this would be extremly easy I belive, it would be done in html through the bbcode system.

Just made the bbcode. It fixes the problem of zombie@computer's method currently has.

Look at the two posts for examples, I also posted the bbcode source their as well, so if the Admins choose to do this, they don't need to do any work, besides copy and pasting.

I guess we will see who's will be used, if ether of ours. Zombie might still end up using his php script.

I still think the easiest choice would be [vdc]func_breakable[/vdc]. Less fragile magic. (That said, I'm completely in favor of non-fragile magic.)

has anyone thought about using [vdc]func_test[/vdc] tags? Seems easiest to me.
