Okay, I can no longer deal with this problem.

Every time I visit this site I am logged out after I log in and start browsing the site, I am logged out again. It just won't stay logged in for more then a few minutes.

I use Chrome and Win7 32bit.


*Note, I had to re-write this post twice due to me getting logged out while writing it.

do you log out after visiting the main site, or also while you stay on the forums?

Weird, my friends site which uses Phpbb also had an issue with cookies.
My problem was whenever i came to the site it logged me off but i just had to relogin.
HE was having an issue like this where he would be logged out mid browsing of the forums.

I'll go ask how he fixed the issue.

A common fix is to delete all cookies that relate to interlopers and then try again. It should set new ones for you when you refresh and hopefully that will clear it.

Also, try another browser and if that behaves correctly it would explain the cookie issue

It works slightly better after deleting all the cookies like you said. I am getting forced out less often.

I am downloading FireFox to see if it's the browser.

If you have set your browser to delete history each time you exit it, your 'cookies' will be deleted also.

Well, it appears to be Chrome. As Firefox works fine with the site.

To think of it, I am pretty sure Chrome doesn't like the other phpbb site I go to. Which is odd, I have never had any problems before I upgraded to Win7.

Cant be, i'm using chrome.
Never had issues here or other PHPBB sites.

Maybe windows 7 incompatibility though.
I'm still on Vista Ult.

Yeah, I always use Chrome and never had the issues you've explained. It's very odd and somehow you're getting odd cookie settings.

Would reinstalling Chrome help?

Anything checked in there that might be an obvious cause?

You let the google updater(spyware) update chrome right?
Might just double check.

Im having problems with firefox, its really frustrating.

I'm stuck with Firefox for both the phpbb based forums I go to... Chrome is just messed up for me... there must be something on my computer that is causing this.
