Since you rarely have to remove the images I'd say it's easy enough just to highlight them and delete them before posting?

Aye, it's not difficult but you do occasionally get newbies doing it in the Map Pimpage Thread so if there's a simple phpbb plugin to solve the problem it'd be worth adding I'd say.

After seeing yet another user miss the error checker. I really think we should work on the error checker(it's missing some really bad errors) and make it very obvious so no user looking for help can miss it.

Could possibly be worth updating, but if people learned to check for errors themselves they would have a faster process of solving their problems. I like to think the error checker as a last resort.

I like to see it as the first stop for people with errors.

Got a map problem? Run it through the checker.
Still got a problem? Search it.
Never been posted before/can't find it? Post a help thread.

I've also thought a error checker for model compiling and console errors would be useful.

Something else, I swear no one ever reads the help guide lines, we need something like this(only in the help section):

The error page has the option to add errors
Click here to add an error

But noone ever seems to be bothered to do so, and since i dont map anymore im unable to do so.

error checkers for models compiling and console errors have the same problem. Noone can be bothered to make a list of errors (there have been threads about this before), and without a substantial amount of errors an error checker would be pointless.

Shit, I never saw that button. I'll go ahead and add any errors I notice it doesn't have for now on.

What areas of the site do people feel should be Interlopers "selling point"?

What should be brought to your attention on the home page clearly (forum latest, tutorials etc)?

What does Interlopers lack as a news and tutorial based site? The subject at hand has changed some what over the years and we may need some fresh ideas.

What areas are redundant? Map Spotlight, Downloads & Articles are likely to be scrapped.

Umm. It seems to me everyone in this thread who's spoken about it has said Map Spotlight is a good idea but just needs to be updated more often, rather than scrapped.

One small thing that used to bother me then forgot about was how it tells you what time they joined under the member's name. The date is fine but the time is unnecessary really and sometimes it makes it jump to the next line and waste a half centimeter of my precious forum space. HUGE DEAL (it's probably set in sync with my account setting for date&time display huh)

Also I'm sure everybody wants to keep the map spotlight, they just want it updated and seem more important.

I agree, the join 'time' should be removed. But the Map Spotlight should stay but be updated more often like once a month instead of once in a blue moon.

Also, everytime you make a post a thing comes up saying 'Message successfully posted what would you like to do now' and then it has two options 'Go to your post' and 'Return to Forum'. Can we just make it automatically go to your post?

You can't just update the Spotlight that often. How many maps get released here now in say.. 2 weeks?

True, new releases are infrequent these days, but Metroplex has been up there for about a year now and I'm pretty sure I've seen a few decent L4D and Portal Maps released since then. It could even be opened up to maps that haven't been posted here if it's turned in to a more democratic system whereby Interlopers can nominate maps that they've come across in the wider mapping community. You never know, that might even be the incentive a non-interloper needs to come and show their wares here.

I think quallity! Many people who come here latley tend to often praise that they found good solutions and answers here. I would also count myself into that position some years ago. Because when you search for and hammer specific problems on google, interlopers is imo the only forum that provides more than just right answer.
It is hard to describe but what I am trying to say is that visitors maybe not just get to konw the anwser, but also gain some extra knowledge wwitch maybe will help him further on^^
I also think of quallity beacuse over the years many have stated here that Interlopers was created to provide a more mature community around source. Blink probaly knows more about this as he have stated he had frustration when he created the site :D Just reed on his own site about Interlopers, hehe.

Anyway, to maintain this proud statement Interlopers can brag with. I think that we should have a feature where members could rate threads. Threads who have givven rarely good answers or just rasied a good statement/discussion.
This is could be refelcted much as how the porfolio section works.(also google+ and such crap :))
With this feature there should then of course be an option for visitors to filter threads by their rating.
However, I am a bit concerned that somethreads may just disapear very easily cuse of this and to that, I have no good answer :?
One little thought I have though could be like, if only members higher then "May contain skills" is permited to rate a thread. What do you think?

Sounds slihgtly elitist, but also very redundant. The forum is "simple" (meaning functionality>gimmicks) and works very well that way.
