Strange problem with assualts.

Is it too much to ask for one simple assualt to work right? I guess so becuse the game seems set on making things hard on me. What I have is an assualt with four combine that each move to different rallypoints, and then move to a group of assualt points. The only setting that is on is the Allow Diversions setting and that is to yes. Yet still the combine continue to move towrds it, even if I stand in their way and shoot them; they just return fire and keep running backwards.

I'm a bit lost as to why they dont stop and persue when that's the description on the key value.
