Hey guys, I have been searching for a solution to this problem for several days and have had no luck so far, so i turn to you. I have a map in l4d2 and every time I compile it and convert to a VPK, any metallic materials look bright and shiny like chrome. This applies to every weapon as well. If I run it right after compiling this does not occur. I tried building cubemaps, doing longer compiles, and anything else I could think of but nothing seems to work.

any ideas what could be causing this catastrophic error?
