I converted my HL2 content to steampipe and it gave me all sorts of problems. Firstly, it wouldn't let me open the SDk in anything other then the vanilla HL2. Apparently steampipe moved the gameinfo.txt files for the episodes from the username to the common folder, so I moved them back. That allowed me to launch Ep2 in the SDK, but I couldn't open files in it. I looked around and found that they'd also gotten rid of the ToolsApp_Id code line for the episodic gameinfo files for some reason, so I added that back in too.
So now I can launch the Ep2 sdk and open and compile files in it; however, the framerate in hammer is shaky now. More importantly, when I try to put Ep2 assets (like hunters) in there I still get error messages, as if I had opened the file in the vanilla half life 2 sdk. I suspect that this has something to do with the gameino.txt as well, but I'm not sure what it is. Does anybody know? Thanks.
