Scripting in TF2 - Solved

Whenever I talk while playing TF2/CS/COD4, I always end up yelling over the din that is always around me ingame, but it kind of pisses off my brother who is right next to me in the computer room. Is there a way that I could bind my chat button to both the chat function and toggle the game volume up and down? I have no idea how to do this and If anybody has experience in this that would be much appreciated.

Edit: This exact script was in the TF2 wiki. Guess I should do some researching before making a thread. If anyone is interested, this is it:

alias "+mute" "volume 0.2; +voicerecord"
alias "-mute" "-voicerecord; volume 1"
bind "MICROPHONE-BUTTON" +mute

You have to enter this line by line, I tried entering it all at once and it didn't work. Change the number in the first line (0.2 right now) to change how low the volume goes while your mic button it held.
