Trailer: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2!

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a trailer, it's more like a teaser, but it's still worth a watch or ten:

Hoorah, civilian killings!

Also, technically not called Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, instead they seem to just be calling it Modern Warfare 2.

I think this is getting overdone, I bet we'll see a CoD 12 in the future or something. O.o

It was an original teaser, not really something to call a trailer, but everything was a bit too vague, I liked their minimalistic approach, but they overdid it a bit in my opinion... I'm curious on when they're going to show actual in-game footage and what it will be like though!

Sounds like an airport to me and I'm sort of hoping that it's set somewhere other then the middle-east so maybe it's set in a major city?

Personally, I love these short videos full of hidden messages. After watching the video in hi-res a couple of times, here's a little theory I've come up with:

1: As far as I can hear, these terrorists are at some sort of airport.
2: When the terrorists are getting out of the elevator, right before they start the shooting, a sign saying "Security" can clearly be seen:
Image
Maybe they're not just there to kill innocent people, but to take over the airport and, e.g, hijack a plane?
(Also note the four small images over the 2nd Security sign, one of them is the Stopping Power perk from CoD4...)
3: During the shootout, a number of images can be seen flashing over the screen. Look at this:
Image
Clearly the inside of a plane. Maybe one the terrorists hijacked from the airport?
4: And finally, compare the image above, with this one, from the Mile High Club mission from CoD4:

Quite similar, eh? Also, the terrorists from both the airport and Mile High Club were russians. It is possible IW developed a storyline based on the ending of the previous game, and that one of the first missions in MW2 is similar/the same as Mile High Club, maybe like the cargoship from CoD4.

In addition, right before the terrorists are getting out of the elevator, one of them says either "Remember, no Russian" OR "Remember, THE russian". The VIP from the plane in Mile High Club was russian.

I don't know, maybe I'm really good at seeing connections where there's really nothing. At least it makes perfect sense to me.

In a couple of parts of the video you can see the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, plus a quick shot of some clustered housing that looks like slums. I'd put money on at least part of this game being in Brazil. There's also an oil rig and some scuba divers, plus something that looks like a castle. As always, we will probably visit a variety of locations.

I'm very excited about this. I think people should ease up a bit. This is only a teaser, not a trailer, so you're unlikely to see much in-game footage. There are still almost 10 months until it will be released so it must be very much WIP at this stage. Give it time!

Too vague for my liking, but Infinity Ward made a great game in COD4 and I'd love to see the storyline continued!
