Steam shutting down November 2009? Wha?

This may have already been said, I didnt read all the posts, however when Steam signed on for its Domain name and Business Contract the date set for it to end was in 2009, this just means then need to re-new their contract, not that their closing. I dont know how some dumb @#%@ could mistake that.
