This looks amazing.

The trailer featured lightmass so I suppose it's in there.

I have only used the source engine and very rarely even tried any of the other ones.

Until I get back in the mood to use hammer, haven't touched it in a few months due too lack of ideas and lack of wanting too use it, I will gladly give this a try. Its time for me to move on for awhile, well until I get my hands on the L4D2 models and actually come up with an idea I can stick with for more than 2 days.

I'll let you know how it goes, I am pretty exited to try something new and fresh with better tools and IN REAL TIME!!!

Meh. I'd probably use the unreal engine more if navigating the viewports in UnrealEd wasn't like trying to drive a tank.

I fiddled with this in this morning and it so fucking hard to understand. Looks like I just can't delete the brush I want, it's justs way too complicated.. I'll just have to try and learn, I'd really like to map with UE3.

You don't really use brushes in UE3, you use modulz. If you look at official maps, there only a few things in maps that are brushes. Everything else is a model.

Guys, just look at the feature page. There's loads of tools released with it including the lighting engine, physics engine, speed tree, that fancy 'ittle material editor, and particle effect creator.

I might down load this. Source has been getting stale for me but last time I tried using the unreal editor I felt like chewing glass instead. Either way I think its a good idea for the modding community.

Bring on the unreal section again for the third (or second) time.

I'd be all for that, if enough people would use it that would be great.

Made this in about an hour following one of Hourence's tutorials.

The particle editor is quite easy to get to grips with. ;)

With the most used engine for video game development called the Unreal 3 engine and Two big selling titles using said engine (gears of war), I don't think Epic really needs much help promoting Unreal 3. Therefore, this is EPIC. See what I did thar?
