Do you go undercover when playing as Sam into a Russian terrorist group and attack an airport?

Comrades! Our fight is not over yet!

The AK47 bit is lampshaded in Chaos Theory.
Lambert: I'm hearing gunfire down there, Fisher. Is everything alright?
Sam: It's coming from up ahead, but Lambert... when I think 'guerrilla', I think 'Kalashnikov'.
Lambert: What do you mean?
Sam: I've had enough AK's fired at me in my time to tell you that wasn't one.

And if I can't make a good pacifist run, I don't know what I'll do. I mean, that's how I get the replay value out of the SC series...

So very true. I was quite sad for me shelving the game, maybe this one will be better again.

That looks incredibly fun. I'll definitely be getting it on PC.

It's amazing how simple this choice is if you have only a PC. Trust me, I know.

Anyway, game looks sweet, never really was a fan of SC series (not against them either, merely never had the chance to play any of the games). Might start with this one

If it's anything like the old co-op then I'll be a little sad as it really requires a good partner to succeed. I remember way back you had to defuse a bomb and it was a pain in the ass as you had to rely on your friend to tell you what wire you had to cut and you only had like 5 seconds to react and you had to do it 3 times.

Saving was a bitch as it was done online so if the game crashed you lost the progress.

Still it was fun besides all that. My friend would run into enemies and knock them out the cheap way whereas I liked to hang above them and drop down on them.

It was hard to find a good partner who had microphone and a brain, but if you did things were very fun.

The biggest problem was that if you tried to save the game while either player was near an interactive object, stuff tended to get corrupt.

IIRC some of the missions were structured so that a true pacifist run (zero knockouts) weren't practical, but a zero-fatality run (if you could find a teammate with similar goals) often was.

only complaint is that it feels like they're encouraging less stealth (I mean stealth like in the 1st SC game) and more PEW PEW PEW SHOOTING PEOPLE IS SO QUIET!!
