There is plenty of stealth, its just much faster stealth. You can play the game the way you want to though. It offers a wider variety of awesome.
Marketing will showcase more shooting/action because of the mass market audience is more interested in action/story.

Think I'll buy this game on console, since I'm not going to tolerate the ubisoft DRM on the PC version.

can anyone tell me how much amon tobin's music is used? wiki says he had something to do with it, but the trailers/teasers were just shitty action movie orchestral things that bore me to hell

it's a make or break thing

I bought it on XBOX 360, beat it in a few hours really short game, but co-op makes up for that. It was amazing even though the ending sucked. Love how fast it is, but you still have to plan on the fly. One thing I didn't like was that they changed and/or removed some levels or sequences from the trailers.

I played some of Hunter mode today, I see what you mean. I still miss the stealth from the first game, though.

Yeah, we are very happy that the majority of good responses are about the COOP and MP as that's what I worked on. For the ending, I really liked it myself. Its at least unexpected and unique, but I guess its going to be a love or hate thing like all endings in games.

Kaveh Cohen, Amon Tobin, and Michael Nielsen all contributed to the making of the Conviction OST

After this, vcool was added to the list of possible terrorist suspects. ): I hope you enjoy flight security because you're going to get a LOT of it in the future.

Anyway, this game actually looks pretty fun. I may play it with a few friends sometime when I get the time, possibly during the summer break. :| I can't say for sure that I'll personally buy it, only because I'm not a huge fan of short games even with co-op (l4d2 is just sitting there), but I've seen some pretty kickin' reviews so far.

Sounds just like every other american trailer for games, I can't say I'm too impressed with American composition but~

Eh, never mind, I think I'll drop this because I know I'll get flamed and will be call a certain thing that starts with a w.

My copy has been dispatched but is estimated to arrive next Wednesday and I won't be at the delivery address. Oh fuck hopefully it won't take that long.

So how plausible is it to play the game as a pacifist? (All the mark-n-execute stuff they hyped seems to imply you can't and you'll have to wade through seas of blood.)

I think that describes about 60% of the men in the world :)

But seriously now, is this worth playing, and when's the PC version due for release? I really need a stealthy game, haven't played one since Thief 3 damn it.

I never really understood the folks who loved T2 and hated T3. It had some consolitis, but it was actually pretty good. If only I could say the same for the DX->DXIW transition.

That said, i's hardly new or necessarily acrobatic, but you could try the pacifist (knockout only) run in Deus Ex. (Well, excepting one of your coworkers.)

I liked Thief 2 and Thief 3 was just as good. I heard the rants about Thief 3 before but I could never agree. It's one of the most awesome games in the world.

I haven't played a Splinter Cell game since Chaos Theory. I'm heading out to buy this game now.
