OK, so I'll get my copy of ME2 really soon... and I'm wondering what I have to complete on ME1.

  • How do the paragon/renegade points carry over? Is it a percentage, or do you have to reach a certain amount, etc?
  • I already got the "rich" achievement.
  • I'm at level 60.
  • Are there any important import bonuses I'll miss? Does completing UNC: Valuable Materials have any effect?
  • Is there anything you wish you had done differently in ME1?

You will get a bonus for paragon/renegade points for ME2 depending on which one you were in the first game.

Rich achievement shouldn't have any effect on ME2 since you have to start all over again leveling up and money/gear etc. I don't think valuable materials has any effect. Most of your major decisions will carry over to ME2.

And yes you should complete ME1 to get all the import bonuses (which I recommend strongly!). And its always more fun to continue your old characters story :)

I wish I could but for some god damn reason my cerberus key decided to cease being valid, so now I can't use the normandy crash site or zaeed DLC either, nor can I download the new DLC.

I'll have to pirate it now...good job EA.

Should I go ahead and use the came-with-the-game Cerberus thingy or is it better to re-sell it to somebody? :P

Well the Cerberus key gives you the fancy DLCs. If you are not a MEfag like me, and you're fine with what you have played so far, you can sell it yeah.
