ehhhh.... I sorta disagree. To extrapolate: there are ACTUALLY funny movies and then there are movies which some people think are funny (the "Scary Movie" series comes to mind). Yes, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and as such no one is "right" about their opinion. But Big Lebowski is no doubt more funny than Scary Movie 6 (at least IMHO).

However, I haven't played any video game that is actually scary. They all try and fail miserably. It probably has something to do with HUD's, saving, checkpoints, continues, repeating the same content, and being able to quit the game whenever the player feels like it.

Yeah, I completely agree that some films are funnier than others. You can reasonably have a discussion about the strengths of one over the other. Where I feel it breaks down, however, is when you (not personally you, but people) start telling people that they are 'wrong' to find something funny/scary/sad. It's their fucking emotions, and who the hell are you (again, not you) to tell them that what they're feeling is wrong?

Mate, I was just saying how I felt when I played that game. I wasn't ripping on anyone else for finding it scary.

Check out No One Lives Forever 2 - it's by the same dev team. It's kind of a wierd cross between Goldeneye64/FEAR/Austin Powers.
If you don't mind the cheesy humour throughout the game, you should find it a great stealth-tac-shooter ;)
