Depending on how well Conviction gets reviewed... That'll determine whether I give it the "Double Agent treatment" (pirate, test, give up without having to ask for a refund) or whether I buy it and then crack it...

Ubisofts DRM seems to have been cracked already by "Skid Row" in Silent Hunter. Took what, a day?

Pwned.

Apparently the crack doesn't fully work. Some people are saying it will allow you to play the first level but that's it, leading to some people thinking that the DRM downloads levels when you need them. A fully functioning crack may be possible if someone can get their hands on all the levels (if the above is the case) though it's fairly likely that it deletes the levels once your finished with them.

Mirrors edge used to turn your run-speed to a slow crawl if you got halfway through the game with a crack.
Took a couple days for a fix.

This one shouldn't take very long

Doesn't matter if you have 100% uptime on your internet if the ubisoft authentication servers go down, which just happened.

I also heard that you would fall through elevators (which were used as loading sequences) to your death, preventing you from progressing; but that was apparently cracked as well.

Give it some time, there will be a crack fix. I guarantee it.

I laughed when I read this news on RPS this morning. It was bound to happen but I didn't imagine it would be so soon!
