TF2 weapon and hat Ideas thread.

Hey... don't know why people havn't done this before. but basicly post your Ideas for TF2 weapons and Hats... or post pictures of your work (if you model TF2 items). let me get the ball rolling with some Engi weapons

PRIMARY: the longhorn-
lvl 15 hunting rifle

a sacred gun formed by the texan marksman himself, Smithy Weston! and passed down from generation to generation untill being sold to Mann Co. who then mass produced it and brought it to the battle field.
this lever action hunting rifle fires at a slower firing speed then the shotgun, and has reduced damage at close range, but here's the kicker! the bullet INCREASES IN DAMAGE the longer IT'S IN THE AIR! that's right, now you can teach those "stand-out-of-the-range-of-your-sentry" folk a lesson, about how it's not wise to safely destroy your hard work. and for those "snipers" who are REALLY far away you can score a MINICRIT.

SECONDARY: bee jar
lvl 20 thrown jar

the bee jar is...well...a jar of bees, but not your ordinary bees. but TEXAS bees, and they're angry as hell and out for blood...and honey. the jar works a lot like the snipers jarate, execpt instead of a debuff it slowly takes away health. the bees will follow players who are hit by the jar, as well as those who walkthrough the swarm (forms much like thrown boomer bile and hovers above the ground) perfect for those who are inclined to pop around corners to advoid damage. the bees eventually go away, or if the player is lit on fire. however the bees will not stop if the player is in water, they simply hover above the serface...waiting...
another pluse is that CRIT jars cause the vict... I mean player to go into a crazed "stunned" state (like if he/she/it had been hit by a stun ball). but the one thing the bees hate more then the other team...is YOU the engi, make sure not to get in the way of these bad boys.
like anything with such a small mind, these bees are usless agains cloaked/disguised spys.

MELEE: the SFW (super fast wrench)
lvl 30 monkey wrench

simply put. a monkey wrench, faster firing speed... but reduced damage and no random crits.
build and upgrade things in a flash. not for those who like braining spys in the head.

I also have these Ideas posted at the steam forum aswell...

since people have forgotten, and I have lost sleep over these.

Demoman's Petar (or BOMB-ON-A-STICK)
lvl 50 melee weapon
pros
-explosive dmg first hit
-longer melee range
-extreme force (repulsion)

cons
-80% less dmg after initial hit
-self inflicted dmg (as much as if you stepped on your own grenade)
-slower firing speed
-no random crits? (opt)

acts (regens) like the scouts ball, can be used to get to higher places
taunt involves the demo breathing fire much like those carneys who drink alcohol and then...well...breath fire.

and...

spy's switchblade
lvl 20 melee weapon

pros
-faster firing speed
-faster weapon switch (animation)

cons
-Reduced dmg for all non-backstab hits (less then axtingisher)

Bee jar sounds like the sniper's flare gun in my opinion. I like the longhorn idea though. It sounds like the perfect thing for engineers to keep ass hats from being able to shoot your turret from a safe distance. Friendly snipers aren't always reliable for keeping that kind of thing from happening.

My concern with the Longhorn is that Engineers will basically be a sort of self-defended shotgun sniper, able to wound their foes from long-distance while being covered from spies etc. by the turret around the bend.

the dmg done would be relative to it's reload time. and you could forget about the minicrit.

He doesn't mean the Sniper currently has a flare gun. He means that your Bee Jar idea sounds like a Sniper's version of the Pyro's Flare Gun.
