Dragon Age Origins - Awakening...

Postby MayheM on Mon Mar 22, 2010 5:07 pm

Ok so I beat Dragon Age Origin about a month or so ago and had pre-ordered the expansion pack "Awakening". Since beating the original game I have rebuilt my gamer and lost my saved games. When I went to play "Awakening" it just opened the original game with no option to play the expansion. I did however see the option "Other Campaigns" but it was grayed out. Am I to assume one must beat the original game to play the expansion? Or am I missing something here?
Anyone else run into this and or know the answer to my question?

Thanks Guys...

You do not need to finish the original game and you can create a new character in Awakening. You can also use any character you haven't finished the original game with. "Other campaigns" is anything other than the original game; mods and expansions. So yes, awakening will be listed here (even if you run the awakening shortcut).

Make sure you run the awakening game and not the normal game. (Did you buy it on steam?)

Yeah I bought it on steam, and I am using the awakening shortcut and not the original game one. Strange... I will take a look when I get home and see if I missed something.

I actually got it working last night. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Once I started it up after that it work just fine. I guess the reinstall did the same thing as verifying the data.

Thanks for the help...
