I've gone every year since 07. With the exception of 09, it's been worth every penny every year.

If you're a GDC alumni (meaning you went the previous year), you get a discount. Stack it with the early bird discount and you can get half off the normal price.

How much is a ticket with the early bird discount? I might consider going but I'm not sure if I'll be ready to look for a job by then.

This super early thread gave me a great idea. We should have like a calender sort of system where we can discuss the major upcoming game industry events like GDC and E3, and feed updates of what to expect. Just an idea.

Anyway, I'd love to save up and all but there's rarely (if ever) a big event such as this in my area, and the areas it is held at are commonly way too far away.
