And it working the other day when I load it.
All the other games I have are working. Just seems to be Ep2. Can't test other Half-Life games because they're not installed.

Episode 2 not launching.

Is Episode 2 failing to launch for any particular reason or am I just special. Steam gets to prepare it, but beyond that nothing happens, no errors or even HL2.exe in the taskmanager.
And it working the other day when I load it.
All the other games I have are working. Just seems to be Ep2. Can't test other Half-Life games because they're not installed.

I know you said no HL2.exe in the taskmanager, but did you check the processes tab? I had a rather amusing bug a while back that left the process running.

Yeah it doesn't even launch HL2.exe in the processes tab.
Yay! I fixed it by deleting stuff. Must have been a dodgy setting or something.
