It looks awesome!

Anyone know how much they changed the rendering side of ID Tech 4?

Looks so, I believe I can see shadow mapping in place of stencil shadows for majority light sources.

Finally a game I can look forward to...? Sure looks very promising.'

Edit: Actually, it looks incredibly promising. I've always wondered why people restrict movement (though not only movement) in FPS's in such big degree.

Methinks it'll live or die by the gameplay and class-balance.

firstly the movement. unlike anything else before it will redefine shooters. secondly, looks, at least from their vids, you can almost completely define your objective making it not only interesting to play with but definitely redefines "replayability"!
Note i'm not even mentioning the GFX which are to die for. simply because, at least for most, graphics are no more than an eye candy and become less important after the first few games.

To me the movement looked exactly like Mirror's Edge... Except you just hold a button down.

I think 'like mirrors edge' might be quite a positive thing and, as the game is truly an fps, something more complex than just holding a button down could detract from the core experience. The real test will be whether it feels gimmicky or whether it pulls you into the world and makes it feel more real.

You guys are forgetting the whole, You can play coop/multiplayer/singleplayer altogether if your online.

I thought that was rather unique :\
