What 'source look'? The one with all the jagged blocky environments, static lighting and the exact same animations on every npc in every game and mod? Seriously why do I still use this engine...

You don't need the same animations on every NPC just reanimate them. It's up to the artist to make the environment look less blocky. Static lighting could be fixed with source code which I'm sure Arkane would have if they are using Source. :|

Sweet! So they're basically rebooting the concept of The Crossing? I remember being excited for that a while back. They had gameplay footage of that and they were using Source, so wouldn't they still be using Source?

People need to stop saying this is like The Crossing, it's not, it's not in France, and NPC's are not going to be players which was The Crossings whole gimmick. :|

Viktor Antov was HL2's art director, not concept artist (obviously he did concepts but his main job was art director)

And just look at how much better the HL2 concepts were than the HL2 in-game! Who directed the direction towards not awesome??????????

Way too little known yet to get excited... but they did make Dark Messiah, and is that a sword of some kind? Would be awesome if they had the same melee combat.

Yeah that's definitely not Source, looks more like UE3 pr Id Tech 4.

It looks a lot like L4D2 to me, and overall the lighting definitely reminds me of source.

Pretty sure that was just 2004 Source engine and computer limitations.
