Interlopers Frozen Synapse Tournament

Some of you may have heard of Frozen Synapse - it's a simultaneous turn-based tactical shooter made by indie developers Mode 7. Well, it's currently part of the Humble Bundle family, and is being sold for whatever you're willing to pay for it. To celebrate, and because it's just an awesome game anyway, I'm hoping to set up a little Interlopers tournament sometime in the next couple of weeks.

To get involved, all you need to do is head over to the Humble Bundle site in the next 12 days, pay what you want for the game (if you pay more than the current average, you also get a load of other indie games included for free), and reply in here so I can get an accurate headcount to sort out the brackets and stuff. If you want to be involved, I'd recommend getting the game as soon as possible to get some practise in before the tournament begins.

Once you have the game, give me a shout in here so I can add you to the list.

The great thing about frozen synapse is you can play a single match by submitting a turn every so often over a day or two, so you don't have to set aside any large amount of time.

Great turnout so far, but it would be awesome to get 4 more people so we can have nice even brackets.

Ok, we have our final line up of participants, and I've generated the bracket we will be using for the tournament. It's viewable here, or below. The pairing was done randomly, so it's as fair as possible.

• Each match will be comprised of three games, so to progress to the next round you either need to win two or three of the games, or win one while the other two end as a draw.
• If all three games end in a draw, or if it is tied between one win each and a draw, a bonus game will be played. The winner of the bonus game will be declared winner of the match.
• Every game will be playing the Dark Extermination mode.
• Should you lose a match, you are given another chance to progress by playing against other people who have lost matches (see bracket).
• It is up to the paired players to decide the exact time they play.
• It would be cool to get as many match replays as possible on YouTube for others to watch, so if possible please save or upload any replays.
