That doesn't change the fact that you'd have to download it before playing, right? I mean, an Unreal Engine 3 game would be a considerable size, even if it were a simple mini game.

Still, that's quite impressive.

Yea you'd have to download it inside the browser, as you always do with flash.

But this is fantastic for web based games, coupled with a slimmed version of UE it would be great.

What does it take to accomplish this? I'm not terribly familiar with flash development.

did they convert their C++ to actionscript? is there more or less to it than this?

Unless they're doing something weird, Yes they most likely ported the C++ code into AS3.
Probably a combination of some premium porting solution and hand fixing/adding elements, I'd imagine they're fine tuning it by hand now.

Smart move on Epic's part... one of Unity's biggest draws as a free engine over UDK is the web player, which UDK now has too!
