On the official DoD:S forum, a user has reported a petition requiring a new DoD game:

This is kind of silly.

Only if it's free and the developers are whipped until they release it!

I adored DoD source, the fatal flaw of it though was the lack of sustainability. If you were the greatest player on earth you could not survive an entire 30 minute round without dying, even if you were the best you'd still eventually die from accumulation of small chip damage.
It's the main reason I immediately jumped ship to tf2 when it came out.

don't see the point if I think about csgo (not that I don't enjoy it)
so basically a rehash with slightly better graphics, slightly worse gameplay, but overall nothing really changed and the engine is still old as fuck.
edit: also.. not to be intolerant, but the whole thing is written in Russian.. I'm sure it's a fine language and in these days of google translate it's not that big of a deal.. but yeah if you want something done.. at least put a little more effort into it (not directed @ op)

Except that call for communication thing really isn't going to do anything, and is kinda pointless.

You clearly have never played vs clanfag snipers who would stay in their spot and shoot people down through some crack and never leave their nest regardless of how their team was doing.

I'd like a new DoD that is more in the vein of the first one.

I mostly played assault/support/rifleman aggressively and I was always disappointed when I took a tiny bit of damage as I knew that 2 more stray rounds and I was back to the respawn.

I got DoD:S with the collector's edition of Half-Life 2. Played it for 30 minutes before quitting and uninstalling, and have never played it since.
I really just couldn't get in to it...
