I've got a full 250gig hard drive and only 60gig left on the second 250gig.

And a half full 80gig 10000 rpm!

My music collection fills the first drive. Movies plus vtf backups fills the second.

Games + current projects and program files fills the third.

It took me more than a year to fill a 80 GB drive... then next year to fill 560GB of various drives. 4 operating systems alone eat about 80gb.

Wohoo! I got the computer set up (won't return it, I'll get a more recent GPU later if I feel the need).
After some fiddling it detected the surrounding computers, and I'm setting up firewall & antivirus right now (it took less than 20 seconds to install avast! from scratch ).

Now I gotta try to find my bearings in the configuration-jungle of games ^^
(and restore some of the respectable amount of garbage piled up in my previous system, however I am left with the old PC without any screen - Any suggestions? :?)

Ace, surely plug the monitor for your current PC into the one without a monitor?

P4 3.2 Ghz (HyperThreading)
1024 MB
Radeon x600 512 MB

It actually has a TV-tuner (used to watch TV and record stuff), however this doesn't work anymore since I upgraded to WMP 11 (which windows won't let me remove <3).

EDIT:

Yeah when I think about, I can simply use my local network to transfer the stuff...
Kinda inconvenient having to move the screen plug back and forth though, but I shouldn't complain ^^

Screens with both DVI and d-Sub input FTW!

Besides: my dedicated cruncher runs under the desk without a monitor, keyboard, mouse and video card. What you say now, eh? :D

Is there a way to control it fully from my main computer via network? It would be awesome to dedicate it to such stuff as compiling (which completely incapacitates it, btw)...

Remote desktop is the way. I'm not using it, once I power it up it needs no ingerention for weeks... if I need something done, I turn it off with power button, plug the video card, and boot again.

go grab Abyss X1 off there website, and setup your own sites! I run like... 3 sites and a FTP server off my old comp. If its just a data cruncher or server, it really doesn't need anything but the integrated graphics.

Please tell me this was a joke.
Hmm, I must be doing something wrong, then. 55gb of music, 30gb of images and 270gb of videos. I had to stop ripping DVDs because I ran out of space. Two 300gb drives, and I'm running low. Yeah, I'm doing something wrong.

RawMeat: Windows for gaming, one linux install for everything else, another *nix install for fucking with. IDK about the fourth.
i had fun once, and it was awful.
