Win XP for Fallout :D, Vista for daily use, Kubuntu for coding n stuff and Server 2008 for testing.

i had fun once, and it was awful.

TBH I hate Kubuntu. I had SUSE once (2 years ago i think) and it was ccountless times better for a linux noob which I am.

Vista is actually a dream for networking. Much easier and bigger than XP. I accept a media server active XP and a laptop on XP and they get forth just fine.

Your arrangement is acceptable with the barring of your video agenda sucking. If it's at all accessible to get an 8800GT I would do so. Otherwise it's a actual acceptable system.

Oh, btw, ONLY 500? Goodness. The alone acumen I agitated with a 250GB HDD is I capital a 16mb cache. I anticipate I accept like 100GB chargeless
