I've downloaded and installed the beta, and I really like it so far. I haven't encountered any bugs yet (I'm starting by doing nothing except surfing the internet, playing mp3's and spending way too much time in Live Messenger)

However, it asked me for a CD-Key... One that I don't have to be precise. Where would I get one of those?

you should've seen it on the page you went before downloading which said in huge letters SAVE THIS PAGE AS IT CONTAINS YOUR ACTIVATION KEY!

How 'bout the 32-bit? I'd like to try it in a Virtual PC session.

couldn't download it in firefox either. had to use IE8 as well.

Thanks zombie. I followed xoqolatl's link, so I never got to that part. However I did register now and whatnot so it's all good.

Im getting the error:

An unknown error occurred while processing your request. This is most likely due to a connection failure. Please try again.

I'm downloading it through the direct link but can't get a key at the moment, bugger.

Edit: Ignore that, its because I followed a US link

Only 8 generic keys were generated, which is used by everyone.

W7 Generic Keys

    GG4MQ-MGK72-HVXFW-KHCRF-KW6KY
    TQ32R-WFBDM-GFHD2-QGVMH-3P9GC
    QXV7B-K78W2-QGPR6-9FWH9-KGMM7
    6JKV2-QPB8H-RQ893-FW7TM-PBJ73

X64
    482XP-6J9WR-4JXT3-VBPP6-FQF4M
    7XRCQ-RPY28-YY9P8-R6HD8-84GH3

    RFFTV-J6K7W-MHBQJ-XYMMJ-Q8DCH
    JYDV8-H8VXG-74RPT-6BJPB-X42V4

I like it so far, way faster than Vista, and starting Steam games is WAY faster than Vista! I like the new taskbar, but you really have to get used to it in the start. Definitely upgrading once it's released.

I'm liking it so far. It seems very stable, the speed is great and all the nifty little features are pretty neat. I'm still getting used to it though, some things about it just feel really big and existent like the taskbar and desktop XD
It looks nice but I have to get used to it >:D

Ahahaha thing I didn't like at first was the "shake" mouse gesture. My desktop got crowded and I needed to find a file so I moved the window around looking for it and then suddenly all of my windows maximize :p

Just make sure to download the Windows Media Player 7 patch if you use that rubbish. It corrupts the songs headers and takes a few seconds off the start.

WMP tries to automaticly fill in missing tags/metadata with information from the internet but makes the header too long and as a result damages the first few seconds of the data itself.

I also heard you cant update Steam games in it yet so do it before transferring to 7.

Steam games, and the client itself updates just fine.

Hit my first bug, I booted up this afternoon and the desktop and task bar were just black. Only thing showing was the Start button. I rebooted to no avail so I changed the theme from 'Windows 7' and that fixed the desktop. I then unlocked the task bar, scaled it up then down again and that was fixed. Very odd.

I booted up and tried launching solitaire... It crashed... Oh and btw it's just a vista reskin. Windows just wanted to drop the word “Vista” since it has been trashed.
