direct x problem

hey everyone im having this issue with my computer, i reinstalled windows xp on here, and when ever i try to run a game either it crashes, or minizes to the taskbar and stays minized, i run the direct x dianostics tool and it says i dont have enough video memory

Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 29 (DrawIndexPrimitive): HRESULT = 0x8876017c (Out of video memory)

my windows is a unattended just for this computer, it worked fine all winter i did about 10 reinstalls before now i have all these problems, i did put a sound blaster live in, but i changed the cd so it supports that to, i tryed takeing the card out, still have the same problems, im guessing this computer has reached the end of its life... idk what to do

well this morning the computer wasent booting, took the x1300 out, it booted fine on the intergrated vid card, only problem is its a 16mb chip, so no mapping for me lmao, cant even play quake III

Hey, i had the same problem and sec ago i found out that new ati drivers are f**ked up.
Try instaling omega drivers instead of ati original drivers. This fixed the problem for me.

yeah, i gave it another shot the other day first the mobo i gots has no clip for the agp port so the card slides out i reseated it got video then i rolled back the drivers to the previous version and everything worked like a charm, im so glad my card wasent broke, im ganna try that omega driver hopefully those can squeeze a little more fps out of my card, i was shocked to find out my p3 can run battle field 2 very well.
