This whole thing started when Valve updated TF2 some time ago. It wouldn't let me play TF2, it just gave me the "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time" error, and it refused to install new games. Some days ago you could buy the three games in the Penumbra series for $5, which is cheap no matter how you look at it, so naturally I bought them. But whenever I tried to install any of them, I got the "The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes" error. And whenever I tried again after a few minutes, it would still give me the same error. When I tried to pre-load America's Army 3 yesterday, I was told "The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle any more preloads of America's Army 3. Please try again in a few hours". When I tried to download any media, it told me that "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers".
WHAT THE FUCK.
I asked around another forum, and I was told that either deleting the ClientRegistery.blob file, or uninstalling, then reinstalling Steam would fix the problem. Deleting the .blob file did nothing, so I decided to reinstall the whole shabang. I didn't backup any of my games, mainly because I have some ~40 games installed, but also becasue I though it would be stupid to backup corrupt files, in case it was the game files who kept screwing me. It may not have been the smartest thing I've done, but it's too late to do anything about that now.
So, after I had reinstalled Steam, I tried to install Audiosurf and it worked. Then I tried to install TF2, this time it gave me the same error as before. Then I tried to install half of my other games, and it still gave me the same error as before! I tried to download any media, same error. I even tried to preload AA3, but not even this worked.
So basically:
1) WHAT THE FUCK is going on here?
and
2) How can I solve it?
