Router keeps restarting

Like the topic says, my router keeps turning itself off and on every couple of minutes. I called my ISP (who were kind enough to give me the shittiest router known to man) and they told me that I'm using too much interwebs, and therefor overloading it.
I might not be an expert on this internet thing, but I do know that watching a clip on youtube while talking to 3 or 4 people over messenger shouldn't be enough to make my router go "NO!"

The name of it is TG787. Any ideas?

Are you using a wireless connection? If so, then its not the AMOUNT of data being transferred, but the amount of connections made. Torrents kill most wireless connections. MSN nor youtube should do that, however. Still, if your connection is shit, the capacity of connections over that connection reaches zero fast. It could be a combo of bad router+bad connection+possibly bad reciever.

Funny though, this is exactly why i went from wireless to wired. Even though i was just 5 M away from the router, the amount of wires and pipes between my pc and the router did their number on the stability.

forgot to mention one small detail. I'm wired to the router, but a friend of mine has two laptops at my place that are connected wirelessly (is that even a word?) to the router. I just didn't think that three computers using an everyday amount of interwebs could do this.

What if I wired both of those to the router, would that fix it?
