Dropbox + invitation link.

I was introduced to dropbox a few days ago and I must say it is a really nice program. Many of you have already been using it for uploading pics.

It's a much better alternative to Imageshack (and fellow sites and Rapidshare (and fellow sites) and goes a little faster than SVN and Filezilla.

I'm still figuring out some stuff, but If you are interested I suggest you use my invitation to register. That allows me and whoever registers from my link to get extra 250 mb. Ah yeah. Each use can upload up to 2GB for free. If you need to upgrade to more it cost a bit money.

And heres a site and demonstration video:

I really recommend you to give it a try and maybe also tell your friends and also get some space from them ;)

Yep using it since day one for nearly anything. Its easy to use has a revision system and syncs instant any changes that have been made on a file. Perfect and cheap solution for mod teams or anyone who want to backup or share stuff.

Actually, I'd say it's not a good option for modding in general. Not if you have a chance of multiple people working on one file simultaneously (mostly run into this issue with programming). SVN provides a mechanism for merging changes, where I imagine that dropbox would just overwrite one persons changes, causing data loss.

Anyway, dropbox is awesome for sharing, but not so much for collaboration. I wish I'd known about the referral thing. I've turned several people onto dropbox in the last couple weeks. :/

Oh no. For Combine Destiny we use Tortoise SVN. Works fine. But when I want to upload some progress pics and post em in the forum, Dropbox is just very useful and fast. :D
