C++ Runtime Error With Left 4 Dead 2

Hi, I just recently just got a new HDD, re-installed everything, found and installed drivers, ran registry cleanup and verified cache for left 4 dead 2. Yet, I'm still getting a runtime error on loading screens in saferooms. I've tried everything... could there have been something I missed?

it's a new anti noob players software valve added to their game to fight the rage a bit

but seriously tho, I googled your problem.. in this thread there is this guy that says it's valve's fault and you can't do anything about it

try deleting mod files like .dlls and redownload them before trying again.

Hi, my PC keeps getting C++ runtime errors in saferooms, after we close the door and the next level starts loading. It crashes every time. It also crashes when I turn on the music at the wedding in The Passing.

Things I've tried:
1- Updating Drivers
2- Registry Cleanup
3- Verify Cache
4- Updating Windows.

I'm on Windows Vista 32-bit. This problem started after I installed my new HDD, so I may have missed something, but I installed everything I was told to.

Ok, so, about some drivers. Theres this thing called storage matrix, it came with my pc, but every time I got to install it, it says my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirement.... maybe that's it? how do I fix this?

FIXED! Windows update was having trouble installing SP1, I resolved those, got it installed, and now everything is running smoothly. Admin feel free to lock, delete, or whatever this thread.
