I know this site is comprised of both the UK and the US, but seeing as how an American president affects the whole world, I'm curious about how most people feel about having a female president. Everyday we get closer and closer to the next election, and it appears Hillary Clinton could be the Democrats major contender. I will annoce to the world that I consider myself a democrat. By the time 2008 rolls around, I'll be 19, and I think if she were on the ballot, I might just vote for her. I have not researched enough about her political views to make a definate decision, but Im just curious about people's views on the fact that she's a woman.
Is it time for the US to give up the tradition of a white-male-millionare-senator/governer and go for white-female-millionare-senator/governer? Do you think PMS/Menopause could throw the White House into chaos? (She is rather old, so I dont know if she would have to deal with that anymore). Does sexism still exist to the extent to deny a woman to be "the most powerful man in the world"?
Breaking the tradition could be just one step to having a minority, homosexual, middle-class, etc. person become president. Does this bother anyone?
