It is only logical to copy that which is superior, in this case, Apple's graphical themes. I don't blame them; it looks quite good.
Imagine a world with no hypothetical situations.

What?
Apple has a patent on brushed metal or something?
That only faintly looks like Apple, maybe if you squint and shake your head a bit, but as far as outright ripoff goes, it's not even close

maybe you've been squinting and shaking your head a little too much.

as far as i know apple made the brushed metal highly popular along with gel buttons and the gradient heavy icons. The highly modular work space is also something apple has down very effectivly... and microsoft was obviously inspired by them.

Obviously inspired, but you guys seem to be putting this over as a direct rip

Keep in mind that the window borders will be translucent in Vista.

Does it really matter if it looks remotely alike to the Mac OS X default theme? The functionality of the software is more important. It's a great program to create slideshows, and the GUI looks very clean compared to older versions. Everything is grouped according to functionality and is clearly labelled or has an appropriate, distinctive icon (look at the "Paragraph" column as an example).
