Either way, we should get away from fossile fuels.

yeah that'd be smart...
problem is, investment in cleaner fuel takes up alot of money, money most fracks don't want to invest even if it's for their (grand)children('s) sake.

Fuel companies won't invest in that sort of technology, as they can't make money out of it. I know i'm about to sound anti-capitalist and conspiracy theorist, but massive oil companies will never invest in alternative technologies as they cannot make money. They'll probably end up charging money for all sorts of hybrid technologies which take the strain off oil, but hydrogen fuel is much more effecient, so of course they aren't going to use it.
Also, fossil fuels might run out and we might turn to hydrogen etc, but we'll run out of raw materials if we don't recycle.

so you are basically betting on an organic solar panel? Im sure the efficiency of algae or whatever is higher than that of the average solar panel, but i cant believe you dont need an ocean sized tank to power even the smallest of carsDionysos wrote:Khaeotixs wrote:hell, the hydrogen fuel cell car is a good idea, the only waste it produces is water, and i've come up with an idea that means you only ever need a certain amount of hydrogen. Actually, the hydrogen car is old. They already "invented" it in the 60-70. My guess is that the oil companies actively suppress that technology. I also think that once the oil actually stops flowing they will have it ready and try to have a monopoly on it again.
The biggest problem with hydrogen seems to be the energy/hydrogen output ration, as you need a lot of energy to make hydrogen with todays technologies. There is experimentation with certain algae tho that produce hydrogen in exchange for co2/light. I think something like that will definitely be the way to go; using plants/algae. In the article I read they had actually already come halfway with the energy/output ration, if I recall correctly.
My dream is everyone having their own algae-tank in the backyard, producing their own hydrogen for their car. Of course, that would never happen as it would totally abolish gas stations/leave the big oil comapanies without profit.

i ignore your posts, sorry~}A{~TF2 wrote:So I am to assume that NO ONE has clicked on the link that I posted a couple of weeks ago going directly to a new documentary on Global Warming?
